Housing for Success

Housing for Success

Goal: The principal goal of the program is to help participants obtain and remain in permanent housing while they increase their skills/education.

helping homeless families find homes

IHN – Main Line operates a Housing for Success Program for homeless families. It utilizes program funds to lease apartments in Montgomery County and it provides supportive services to the families living in these leased units. Participants are required to work and to attend an approved education program while in this program.

To be eligible for this program a family must be a former or current shelter participant who followed the program rules and completed their goals. They must also be a single parent, female headed family with children. Most importantly the parent must be able to work part time and be willing to go to school part time.

We believe education is the best way to break the cycle of poverty and this program provides stable housing for families as they gain the education they need to lift them out of poverty.
